My undergraduate thesis is an exhibit about synesthesia, a neurological condition where multiple senses are experienced simultaneously.
Using my graphic and informational design background, and working through the lens of experience design, I created an exhibit to show some facets of synesthesia from different perspectives.
There are four parts to the exhibit. 'Intro' explains what synesthesia is, and showcases how I see letters in color. 'Famous Synesthetes' explores the experiences of well-known synesthetes through their own words. 'Music in Color' is a selection of my personal drawings and paintings of music, both songs and artists' vocals. 'Magnetic Wordbuilder' is an interactive station with a magnetic board and hundreds of painted letters and weird words, so that everyone, through play, could experience spelling in color.
An introduction to synesthesia, explaining what it is, how it works, what types there are, and who has it.
See which celebrities and artists have synesthesia, and read about their cool experiences in their own words.
A selection of my drawings and paintings of music, including specific artist's vocals, different instruments, and whole songs.
Play with weird words and their interesting definitions with this magnetic board and hundreds of colored letter magnets.
